Discretize stellar structure, transport and composition into a residual vector F(y).
Key knowledge
Discretize stellar structure, transport and composition into a residual vector F(y). A Newton step solves Jδy=−F and updates the shell variables, with damping where required. For a regular full stellar center r and L tend to zero; a declared atmosphere relation supplies matched surface pressure and temperature. An HR-diagram fit alone does not test these equations.
Values and equations
F(y)=0; J(y_i) δy_i = -F(y_i); y_(i+1) = y_i + α δy_i

Conditions and scope
- The full-center condition excludes a prescribed point-mass/core boundary. Match EOS, opacity, reaction network and atmosphere within their calibrated domains.
- A nonsingular local Jacobian does not guarantee global convergence; scale residual components consistently and test mesh/time refinement, burning stiffness and conservation.
- Differentiable local residual with a solvable Jacobian; retain actual center/surface boundary equations and separate numerical convergence from physical validation.
