EUF-CMA signature security gives an adversary a public verification key and signing oracle, then tests whether it can produce a valid signature on a previously unsigned message.
Key knowledge
EUF-CMA signature security gives an adversary a public verification key and signing oracle, then tests whether it can produce a valid signature on a previously unsigned message. Strong unforgeability uses a stricter message/signature-pair criterion. This concerns cryptographic validity, not whether the signed statement is true, whether the key owner intended the act, or whether compromised signing software selected the right message.
Conditions and scope
- Fix the key generation, signature encoding, message/context domain and attack resources.
- Authentication of the public key, secret-key protection and application authorization remain separate requirements.

Evidence and review
Author checked this English statement, displayed equation where present and stated hypotheses against these source locations: Encryption games chapters 2–3/9/12, authentication chapters 6–8, signatures chapter 13, reductions and identification/zero knowledge chapters 18–20; §§3–5 ML-DSA/SIS-LWE assumptions, security categories, Table 2, hedged/deterministic and prehash/context distinctions. The check is bounded to the recorded claims; no complete proof reconstruction, software proof replay or universal literature completeness is claimed.
