Reaction stoichiometry relates species-amount changes to reaction and exchange fluxes.
Key knowledge
Reaction stoichiometry relates species-amount changes to reaction and exchange fluxes. With changing volume, concentration changes also include dilution; inferring time-varying fluxes therefore needs volume/pool information and sufficient independent measurements or kinetic constraints.

Conditions and scope
- Use consistent compartments and flux normalization; a dynamic label experiment does not automatically make metabolic flux time dependent.
